EMAT Allotment Report

EMAT User Types

EMAT allows for two kinds of user access: ordering and view only. Each school system is allowed up to three users for each type of access (for a total of six EMAT users). Only EMAT users with ordering access must complete EMAT training, however it is recommended for all EMAT users, regardless of access type.   

Ordering Access: Users with ordering access can submit requisitions and disbursement requests through EMAT. It is recommended that a school system appoint a primary EMAT ordering contact with a backup, if needed. 

View-Only Access: Users with view-only access can view orders and reports in EMAT. This role is often assigned to a curriculum director or business manager.  

Updating EMAT Contacts

Removing an EMAT User

To remove someone from the EMAT Contacts list, notify the Instructional Materials and Implementation Division by submitting a Help Desk ticket. TEA staff will remove the user’s access and remove them from the school system's contact list.

Adding an EMAT User

Follow the guidance provided to add a staff member to the EMAT contacts list, which requires actions in TEAL.

If the new EMAT user does not have a TEAL account, they can create one by:

• Clicking the TEAL Login located on the top bar of the TEA homepage.
• Selecting Request New User Account.
• Completing the required fields on the User and Access Management.
• Clicking Submit.

Once a TEAL account is established and the user is logged in, follow the instructions below:

• Click My Application Accounts on the Self-Service
• Click Request New Account.
• Select EMAT in the pop-up window.
• Click Add Access on the application page.
• Enter the organization number and name in the Employing Organization.
• Select one role and fill out the requested information.
• Click Done when all fields are completed.
• Click Save Changes.

Since school systems are allowed three staff members with view-only access and three staff members with ordering access, you should include the name of the staff member being replaced, if applicable, in the comments box after entering your county district number.

Access requests will be routed to your organization’s approver (superintendent, director, or designee) and then to TEA for approval. EMAT access requests through TEAL expire after five days if no action is taken. You will receive an email confirmation when your request has been approved.

Updating Addresses in EMAT

Update your shipping addresses in EMAT by selecting Confirm Addresses on your District Start Page. Review and confirm all addresses are accurate and make adjustments as needed. Addresses include:

• Instructional Materials Coordinator Address: mailing address
• EMAT Delivery Point Address: shipping address
• Alternative Delivery Point Address: alternative shipping address
• Accessible Instructional Materials (AIM) Delivery Point: shipping address for AIM

Once a requisition is approved, the EMAT Delivery Point Address will be shared with the publisher or print vendor. Only one address will be shared with the publisher. Please note that after EMAT reopens in May, all local school systems are required to review and save addresses before they may submit a requisition.

Summer Ship Dates Confirmation

Each school system must update their summer ship dates within EMAT before they can submit new requisitions or disbursement requests. 

• All school systems are required to enter three lines for Preferred summer shipment date ranges.

After completing this requirement, school systems should also confirm their contacts and addresses in EMAT.
